Calgary's inaugural medieval faire brings knights, jousting, a Viking village, and armoured combat to the Millarville Racetrack (~35 min south of Calgary). Roaming costumed characters and an artisan market with leatherwork, jewellery, and fantasy wares.

🐎 Spruce Meadows 'Continental' – SW Calgary

Dates: June 4–7 | Kids' Zone: Sat–Sun 10 AM – 5 PM

Top show jumpers from across North America compete at the International Ring, while families enjoy the Kids' Zone with bouncy castles, pony rides, and carnival games. Friday evening features outdoor screenings of A Minecraft Movie and The Goonies!

🚲 CycleFest 2026 – East Village

Date: Saturday June 6 | 10 AM – 6 PM

A free community cycling festival at The Confluence Historic Site in East Village. Kids can try Learn to Bike lessons, cargo bike relays, unicycling demos, and Cyclepalooza team challenges — plus free helmet fittings and bike safety checks on site.

🌿 Keep the Earth Fresh – Prince's Island Park

A park cleanup turned team competition — litter collected earns points with prizes for the top three teams! Includes seed planting workshops and ends with a water gun battle. Register free on Eventbrite to receive a volunteer kit on arrival.

Calgary's biggest free street festival — the 34th Lilac Festival closes 4th Street SW to traffic for 500+ vendors, food trucks, live music, and 45+ dance groups performing throughout the day. Stroller-friendly and perfect for a relaxed Sunday.
