Free Lessons & Classes for Calgary Kids This Summer

<p>Looking to keep the kids learning and active this summer without spending a dollar? Here are three free programs available in Calgary right now.</p><h3>🏊 World's Largest Swimming Lesson — June 25</h3><p><strong>Cost:</strong> FREE<br><strong>Date:</strong> Thursday, June 25, 2026<br><strong>Ages:</strong> 3 years and older<br><br>Swimmers around the world take the same beginner lesson simultaneously — all focused on water safety and drowning prevention. Calgary is hosting at four aquatic centres:<br>• Acadia Aquatic Centre<br>• Bob Bahan Aquatic Centre<br>• Sir Winston Churchill Aquatic Centre<br>• Thornhill Aquatic Centre<br><br>Register online at <strong>liveandplay.calgary.ca</strong>, by phone at 403-268-3800, or in person at any City aquatic facility.</p><h3>⚽ Servus Credit Union Free Soccer Friday</h3><p><strong>Cost:</strong> FREE (drop-in)<br><strong>When:</strong> First three Fridays of each month, March through November<br><strong>Ages:</strong> Youth of all ages and abilities — no experience needed<br><br>Calgary Minor Soccer Association runs free, unstructured soccer sessions at three locations across the city (NW, NE, and SW). Just show up and play — no coaches, no set matches, just kids being active and making friends. Parents complete a one-time online waiver before their child's first visit.
